FAQs

Q: How do I order a cake from you?

 A: Please complete our request a quote form. We will email a quote back to you within a few days. Please check your spam email if we haven’t appeared in your inbox. Your quote will include instructions on how to pay your Booking Fee; once that is received, you are locked into our diary.

 

Q: How much notice do you need to make our cake?

A: Our diary gets booked up regularly, so the sooner you get in touch with us, the more likely it is we’ll be able to fit you in. And we do hate to say no, but we are a very small family business with limited capacity.

 

Q: What if we’re not completely sure on our cake design yet, but want to lock in the date with you so we don’t miss out?

A: Let us know as soon as you know the date, we can hold the date in our diary for a small fee.

 

Q: How much cake should I order?

A: It depends what other food you’re serving your guests, or what the occasion is, or what your budget allows. Coffee sized serves are 1×1”, dessert sized are 1×2”, and party size are 2×2”. Bear in mind, most of our cakes are around 5” tall, and feel free to double check with us what we recommend.

A: Please see our Flavours section – this is not an exhaustive menu, we are always happy to tweak and trial new recipes if you want something different.

 

Q: What happens if I need to re-schedule the date I have booked in?

A: Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information regarding postponement or cancellation.

 

Q: Can we try before we buy?
A: Throughout the year we hold tasting dates. You can book in online here.

 

Q: Do you deliver or do I need to collect my order?
A: We offer both options, with collection from our home based kitchen in Willunga.  For stacked or carved cakes, we highly recommend delivery. Please see Terms and Conditions for more information.

 

Q: I fancy some cupcakes – can I pop round?

A: As we operate a home based studio, visits are strictly by appointment only. We don’t keep cakes sitting around – everything is freshly made to order. You may well catch us on a baking day though, so please do message in case!

 

Q: Some of our guests have dietary restrictions – can we still order our cake from you?
A: We can adapt most of our recipes to be gluten free, dairy free, nut free or vegan if required, and whilst we can accommodate preferences, our kitchen does use ingredients such as nuts, gluten, dairy, and eggs, so we are unable to guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, which you should make your guests aware of.
